| A riding truss, what is that anyway? |
| In the old days, on farms with a hay barn (you know, as in romantic stories of yesteryear), the high floor of the loft made it impossible to unload hay. To make unloading still possible, a special construction was often put in place: a ‘row truss’ (‘row’ from ride and ‘bint’ from truss, beamwork contruction). This made it possible to temporarily remove trusses and floorboards from the attic. Hay carts could thus easily drive in and unload hay. After the work was finished, the trusses and floorboards were put back in place. And in exactly such a place you spend the night. |

The Bed
| The room has a made-up double bed (or 2 twin beds if you wish). Do you want an extra bed? That’s also possible. |
Towels
| You will receive a towel pack on arrival. If you would like clean towels, feel free to let us know. |
Lunch and diner
| Do you want to enjoy lunch and dinner at the B&B? You can! Through cooperation with ‘De Burgemeester’ (www.bijdeburgemeester.nl), we can provide you with delicious snacks and drinks. |
Practical
| In the immediate vicinity (5-minute walk) you will find a Jumbo supermarket, a hairdresser, a beautician and several shops. |
Bicycle rental

Boat rental
| In the Alblasserwaard, you can take beautiful boat trips past mills in the immediate area (via De Krom: http://www.dekromoudalblas.nl) or at UNESCO World Heritage Site Kinderdijk (via Le Barrage: www.lebarrage.nl). |
Classical painting
| Your studio is located at the back of the farmhouse. Also is in the farmhouse a studio (www.fineartacademy.nl). Here you can participate in painting classes and various fun workshops and master classes. |
Sports
You can work out in a gym 50 metres from the B&B. This gym is equipped with equipment and there is a shower. Reservation required. Wednesday from 14:00 – 20:30 occupied.
Walking and cycling
| Get out and about in the Alblasserwaard area, on foot or by bike. There are beautiful routes through our green landscape waiting for you. |
